ORDER AMENDING CERTIFICATION On June 2, 2022, the Civil Service Bar Association, Local 237, International Brotherhood of Teamsters (“Union”) filed a petition, docketed as AC-1697-22, requesting that employees in the title Assistant Counsel-PD (Title Code No. 30084) be added to Certification No. CWR-44/67, the Attorneys bargaining unit. The City of New York (“City”) requested an abeyance while the parties negotiated a settlement. On October 4, 2023, the Union and the City signed a stipulation of settlement in which they agreed that employees in the Assistant Counsel-PD title are eligible for collective bargaining, with the exception of Sandra Suweidan, who is deemed a managerial

and/or confidential employee for as long as she holds the Assistant Counsel-PD title. The parties agreed that this designation applies solely to Suweidan, not the position she holds, and that any future hires into that position will be eligible for representation and included in the bargaining unit. NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law (New York City Administrative Code, Title 12, Chapter 3), it is hereby ORDERED that Certification No. CWR-44/67 (as previously amended) be, and the same hereby is, further amended to add employees in the title Assistant Counsel-PD, with the exception of Sandra Suweidan, who is designated managerial and/or confidential.
