In the Matter of the Certification Proceeding -between- NEW YORK CITY HEALTH AND HOSPITALS CORPORATION, Petitioner, -and- DISTRICT COUNCIL 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Respondent. ____________________________________________________________ ORDER AMENDING CERTIFICATIONS On March 4, 2015, the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (“HHC”) filed a petition to amend two bargaining units represented by District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO (“Union”) to reflect the reclassification of certain titles. For the Institutional Services bargaining unit, Certification No. 46B-75, HHC seeks to add Central Service Technician Levels I and II (Title Code Nos. 004560 and 004680) and to delete Central Supply Assistant (Title Code No. 004560). For the Hospital Technicians bargaining unit, Certification No. 16-2007, HHC seeks to add Surgical Technologist Levels

Notice of this petition was provided to the public and the Union, and no objections were filed. Our investigation shows that there are no employees currently serving in the Central Supply Assistant and Operating Room Technician titles. NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law (New York City Administrative Code, Title 12, Chapter 3), it is hereby ORDERED that Certification No. 46B-75 (as previously amended) be, and the same hereby is, amended to add Central Service Technician Levels I and II (Title Code Nos. 004560 and 004680), subject to existing contracts, if any, and to delete Central Supply Assistant (Title Code No. 004560); and it is ORDERED that Certification No. 16-2007 (as previously amended) be further amended to add Surgical Technologist Levels I and II (Title Code Nos. 001900 and 001980), subject to existing contracts, if any, and delete Operating Room Technician (Title Code No. 001980).
