RU-187-70 -and-CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK -and-THE CITY OF NEW YORK - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - x 0 R D E R and CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVE On January 21, 1971, pursuant to the agreement for consent elections herein, o representation election was conducted among ROC Teachers, ROC Audio-Visual Specialists and ROC Educational Associates; and self-determination and representation elections were conducted among (A) ROC Teaching Supervisors and ROC Research Assistants, and (B) ROC Curriculum Developers, employed at the Regional Opportunities Centers of the City University of New York; and It appearing from the Reports Upon Secret Ballot that a majority of the ROC Teaching Supervisors and ROC Research Assistants casting ballots in said elections have voted in favor of a combined collective bargaining unit of ROC Teaching Supervisors, ROC Research Assistants, ROC Teachers, ROC Audio-Visual Specialists and ROC Educational Associates; and

It further appearing from the Reports on Secret Ballot that a majority of the employees in the said combined unit, casting valid ballots in said elections, have voted in favor of representation by United Federation of College Teachers, Local 1460, AFT, AFL-CIO; and It further appearing from the Reports on Secret Ballot that none of the ROC Curriculum Developers voted in said elections; and No objections having been filed within the time provided therefor; NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby ORDERED, that so much of the petition herein as relates to ROC Curriculum Developers be, and the same hereby is, dismissed; and it is hereby CERTIFIED, that United Federation of College Teachers, Local 1460, AFT, AFL-CIO, is the exclusive representative for the purposes of collective bargaining of all ROC Teachers, ROC Audio-Visual Specialists, ROC Educational Associates, ROC Teaching Supervisors, and ROC Research Assistants employed by the City of New York and the Regional Opportunities Centers of the City University of New York.
