Summary of Decision: The City of New York filed a petition to amend Local 375, Civil Service Technical Guild, District Council 37’s Certification No. 26-78 to delete the title Associate Graphic Artist and add assignment levels to the existing title of Graphic Artist. OCB’s records were administratively amended to reflect the addition of the levels. The Board amended the certification to delete the vacant title. (Official decision follows.) _________________________________________________________________ OFFICE OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING BOARD OF CERTIFICATION In the Matter of the Certification Proceeding -between-CITY OF NEW YORK, Petitioner, -and-LOCAL 375, CIVIL SERVICE TECHNICAL GUILD, DISTRICT COUNCIL 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Respondent. __________________________________________________________________ ORDER AMENDING CERTIFICATION On May 1, 2006, the City of New York (“City”) filed a petition to amend Certification No. 26-78, a bargaining unit represented by Local 375, Civil Service Technical Guild, District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO (“Union”), to delete the title of Associate Graphic Artist (Title Code No. 91416) and to add Levels I and II to the existing title of Graphic Artist (Title Code No. 91415). On June 1, 2006, the Director of Representation notified the parties that the Office of Collective Bargaining’s records had been updated to reflect the addition of Levels I and II to the Graphic Artist title and that the Associate Graphic Artist title could not be deleted until it was vacant. Decision No. 7-2007 2 investigation now shows that there are no employees currently serving in the Associate Graphic Artist title. NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law (New York City Administrative Code, Title 12, Chapter 3), it is hereby ORDERED that Certification No. 26-78 (as previously amended) be, and the same hereby is, further amended to delete the title Associate Graphic Artist (Title Code No. 91416).
