(Official decision follows.) __________________________________________________________________ OFFICE OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING BOARD OF CERTIFICATION In the Matter of the Certification Proceeding -between-UNITED FEDERATION OF TEACHERS, Petitioner, -and-CITY OF NEW YORK, Respondent. __________________________________________________________________ DECISION AND CERTIFICATION Pursuant to the Decision and Direction of Election in United Fed’n of Teachers, Decision No. 12-2007, an election was held by mail ballot in this matter in accordance with § 1-02 of the Rules of the Office of Collective Bargaining (Rules of the City of New York, Title 61, Chapter 1) (“OCB Rules”) for employees in the title Hearing Officer (Per Session) (Title Code No. 95937). The ballots were counted on September 10, 2007. The majority of Hearing Officers (Per Session) casting valid ballots selected the United Federation of Teachers as their representative for collective bargaining. No party filed objections in the time provided by OCB Rule § 1-02(r). NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by
Decision No. 14-2007 2 the New York City Collective Bargaining Law (New York City Administrative Code, Title 12, Chapter 3), it is hereby CERTIFIED that the United Federation of Teachers is the exclusive representative for purposes of collective bargaining for the bargaining unit consisting of the title Hearing Officer (Per Session) (Title Code No. 95937).
