Summary of Decision: The City of New York filed a petition to amend District Council 37’s Certification No. 37-78 to add the temporary title Decedent Property Agent (Kings County) pending the addition of positions in an existing noncompetitive title in the bargaining unit. The Board amended the certification to add the temporary title. (Official decision follows.) _________________________________________________________________ OFFICE OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING BOARD OF CERTIFICATION In the Matter of the Certification Proceeding -between-CITY OF NEW YORK, Petitioner, -and-DISTRICT COUNCIL 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Respondent. __________________________________________________________________ ORDER AMENDING CERTIFICATION On March 16, 2007, the City of New York (“City”) filed a petition to amend Certification No. 37-78, a bargaining unit represented by District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO (“Union”) to to add the temporary title Decedent Property Agent (Kings County) (Temporary Title Code No. 06775). Notice of this petition was given to the public and the Union. The Union had no objection to the amendment. Our investigation shows that the temporary title will be used pending the completion of the formal process to add positions to the existing non-competitive title of Decedent Property Agent (Title Code No. 10142), in Certification No. 37-78. When the process is completed, it is

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law (New York City Administrative Code, Title 12, Chapter 3), it is hereby ORDERED that Certification No. 37-78 (as previously amended) be, and the same hereby is, further amended to add the temporary title Decedent Property Agent (Kings County) (Temporary Title Code No. 06775), subject to existing contracts.
