RU-202-70 -and-THE CITY OF NEW YORK AND ITS BOARD OF ELECTIONS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - X CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVE A self-determination election and a representation election having been simultaneously conducted in the above matter on May 14, 1971, pursuant to the Direction of Elections herein (Decision No.19-71), and it appearing from the Report Upon Secret Ballot that a majority of the supervisory employees casting valid ballots in said self-determination election has voted in favor of inclusion in a collective bargaining unit combining supervisory and non-supervisory employees; And it further appearing from the Report Upon Secret Ballot that a majority of the employees in the combined unit casting valid ballots in said representation election has voted for representation by Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO; and no objections having been filed within the time provided therefor; NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby

CERTIFIED that Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, is the exclusive representative for the purposes of collective bargaining of all employees of the Board of Elections in the titles of Secretary to Commissioner, Stenographer, Administrative Associate (except Beatrice Dolen, Vincent Fanelli, and Sally Murray, who serve as Confidential Assistants to Commissioner), Administrative Assistant, Senior Administrative Assistant, Director of Equipment, Inspector, Voting Machine Custodian, Senior Voting Machine Custodian, Attendant, Typist, Finance Officer, Assistant Finance Officer, Clerk to the Board, Key Punch Operator, Tabulator Operator, and Senior Tabulator Operator.
