Amend)] OFFICE OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING BOARD OF CERTIFICATION --------------------------------------------------------------- X In the Matter of LOCAL 371, SOCIAL SERVICE EMPLOYEES Decision No. 2-2005 UNION, DISTRICT COUNCIL 37, AFSCME, LOCAL 1549, DISTRICT COUNCIL 37, AFSCME, Docket No. RU-1239-01 LOCAL 1180, COMMUNICATION WORKERS Docket No. RU-1240-01 OF AMERICA, AFL-CIO, Docket No. RU-1242-01 Petitioners, -and-THE CITY OF NEW YORK, and THE NEW YORK CITY HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATION, Respondents. --------------------------------------------------------------- X ORDER AMENDING CERTIFICATION Pursuant to the Decision and Direction of Election in Local 371, Social Service Employees Union, District Council 37, AFSCME, Decision No. 1-2005, separate elections were held by mail ballot in this matter in accordance with § 1-02 of the Rules of the Office of Collective Bargaining (Rules of the City of New York, Title 61, Chapter 1) (“OCB Rules”) for employees in the titles Job Opportunity Specialist (“JOS”) (Title Code 52314) and Associate Job Opportunity Specialist (“AJOS”) (Title Code 52316). The ballots were counted on April 4, 2005, with representatives of each party present. The Tally of Secret Ballots demonstrates that a majority of JOS employees casting valid ballots selected Local 371, Social Service Employees Union, District Council 37, AFSCME
Decision No. 2-2005 2 (“Local 371”) as their representative for collective bargaining. Pursuant to OCB Rule § 1-02(r), any party may file and serve objections within seven business days of service of the Tally of Secret Ballots. No party filed objections within the time provided. 1 The Tally of Secret Ballots demonstrates that a majority of AJOS employees casting valid ballots selected Local 371 as their representative for collective bargaining. No party filed objections in the time provided by OCB Rule § 1-02(r). NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law (New York City Administrative Code, Title 12, Chapter 3), it is hereby ORDERED that Certification No. 37-78 (as previously amended) be, and the same hereby is, further amended to add the titles: Job Opportunity Specialist (Title Code 52314) and Associate Job Opportunity Specialist (Title Code 52316), subject to existing contracts, if any.
