RU-1092-91 -and-The City of New York --------------------------------- x DECISION AND ORDER On June 21, 1991, Superior Officers Association of the New York City Housing Authority Police Department filed a petition requesting that the Board of Certification add the title Captain (Detailed as Deputy Chief) (New York City Housing Authority, Police Department) to its Certification 7 NYC, DL No. 3, presently covering the titles of Sergeant, NYCHAPD; Lieutenant, NYCHAPD; Captain, NYCHAPD; and Surgeon. In response to a request for clarification of the petition, on June 8, 1992, the Petitioner responded by requesting that its petition be amended to add the following "details": Captain detailed as Inspector, NYCHAPD; Captain - detailed as Deputy Inspector, NYCHAPD; and Captain - detailed as Deputy Chief Inspector, NYCHAPD. By letter dated July 8, 1992, the Office of Labor Relations advised that it did not oppose the amended petition "provided that all details, from the title Captain, not expressly included in the petition (as amended) shall be excluded from representation at this time."
DECISION NO. 13-92 2 DOCKET NO. RU-1092-91 The parties having agreed, and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Board that the aforementioned "details" should be added to the Petitioner's Certification without prejudice to the Petitioner to seek the addition of other "details" at a future time; NOW, THEREFORE pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, ORDERED that Certification No. 7 NYC, DC No. 3 (as previously amended) be, and the same hereby is, further amended to include Captain - detailed as Inspector, NYCHAPD; Captain - detailed as Deputy Inspector, NYCHAPD; and Captain - detailed as Deputy Chief Inspector, NYCHAPD; subject to existing contracts, if any.
