Cert.)] OFFICE OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING BOARD OF CERTIFICATION -------------------------------- x In the Matter of LOCAL 621, SEIU, AFL-CIO DECISION NO. 24-89 -and-DOCKET NO.: RU-1052-89 THE CITY OF NEW YORK and RELATED PUBLIC EMPLOYERS -------------------------------- x ORDER AMENDING CERTIFICATION On September 18, 1989, Local 621, Service Employees International Union, filed its motion herein, pursuant to 2.19 of the Revised Consolidated Rules of the Office of Collective Bargaining, to substitute the new title of Supervisor of Mechanics (Mechanical Equipment) for the reclassified titles of Supervisor of Mechanics (Motor Vehicles), Supervisor Auto Machinist, Supervisor Auto Mechanic, and Supervisor Machinist in Certification No. 55-70 (as amended). The City's Office of Municipal Labor Relations, in a letter dated September 22, 1989, states that it does not oppose this petition. Our investigation shows that with the exception of Supervisor Auto Machinist, the remaining reclassified titles continue to have employees serving in them. Accordingly, in order not to deprive these employees of union representation, we shall not delete their titles until they become vacant.
DECISION NO. 24-89 Page 2 DOCKET NO.: RU-1052-89 NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby ORDERED that Certification No. 55-70 (as previously amended) be, and the same hereby is, further amended to include the title of Supervisor of Mechanics (Mechanical Equipment), subject to existing contracts, if any; and it is further ORDERED that the title of Supervisor Auto Machinist be deleted from the cited Certification and that the titles Supervisor of Mechanics (Motor Vehicles), Supervisor Auto Mechanic, and Supervisor Machinist be deleted from the cited Certification as they become vacant.
