RU-933-85 THE CITY OF NEW YORK ----------------------------- x DECISION AND ORDER On January 31, 1985, District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, filed its petition herein, seeking to add the titles of Assistant Workers' Compensation Benefits Examiner, Workers' Compensation Benefits Examiner, and Associate Workers' Compensation Benefits Examiner to Certification No. 46D-75 (as amended), covering various accounting, statistical, and computer-related titles, including various levels of Retirement Benefits Examiners. The City's Office of Municipal Labor Relations, which had originally opposed this petition on the grounds of inappropriate-ness of the requested unit and confidentiality of the requested titles, has now withdrawn its objections. As there is no longer any dispute regarding the status of the employees in these titles, and it appears to the satisfaction of the Board that the requested unit is appropriate, and that accretion is proper in this case, we shall grant the petition.
DECISION NO. 6-85 2 DOCKET NO. RU-933-85 O R D E R NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby ORDERED that Certification No. 46D-75 (as previously amended) be, and the same hereby is, further amended to include the titles of Assistant Workers' Compensation Benefits Examiner, Workers' Compensation Benefits Examiner, and Associate Workers' Compensation Benefits Examiner, subject to existing contracts, if any.
