RU-860-82 SEIU, AFL-CIO RU-877-82 -and-THE CITY OF NEW YORK AND RELATED PUBLIC EMPLOYERS -----------------------------------X DECISION AND CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVE Pursuant to the Direction of Election herein (Decision No. 17-82, Docket No. RU-860-82), an election was held in this matter on August 11, 1982, the results of which were inconclusive. Accordingly, pursuant to Section 2.15 of the Revised Consolidated Rules of the office of Collective Bargaining, a run-off election was conducted on October 8, 1982. It appears from the Report Upon Secret Ballot that a majority of the employees in the unit found appropriate herein 1 casting valid ballots in the election, voted in favor of representation by Local 300, The Civil Service Forum, SEIU, AFL-CIO; and no objections have been filed within the time provided therefor. In addition, Local 300 has requested (Docket No. RU-877-82) that the new titles of Special Officer (Aqueduct Patrol) and Associate Special Officer (Aqueduct Patrol), Assignment Levels I and II, be 1 See Appendix for list of titles.

RU-860-82 2 RU-877-82 substituted for the obsolete titles of Aqueduct Patrolman, Aqueduct Sergeant, and Aqueduct Captain in this unit, in order to reflect the recent reclassification of these titles. All of the parties hereto have received due notice, and no objections have been filed. Moreover, our investigation reveals that all of the pertinent employees have been reclassified to the new titles. Accordingly, the unit certified herein reflects these changes, as well as a minor technical change made by Decision No. 25-82. 2 CERTIFICATION NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby CERTIFIED that Local 300, The Civil Forum, SEIU, AFL-CIO, is the exclusive representative for the purposes of collective bargaining of all employees in the titles listed in the Appendix to this Decision who are employed by the City of New York and related public employers subject to the jurisdiction of the Board of Certification, subject to existing contracts, if any.
