RE-134-82 -and-DISTRICT COUNCIL 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Respondent. ---------------------------------X DECISION AND ORDER The petition herein, as amended, requests the deletion of twenty titles from Certification No. 46C-75 (as amended) 1 , on the ground that these titles are vacant and obsolete. District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, the certified unit representative, objects to the deletion of the titles of College Assistant and Senior Typist, on the ground that these titles are not vacant. 2 College Assistant-is used only by the City University of New York, which is no longer under the jurisdiction of this Board. The Union, although given an opportunity to substantiate its claim that there is an incumbent in the title of Senior Typist, has been unable to do so. Moreover, our investigation shows that this title is vacant. Accordingly, we dismiss the union’s objections. Since our investigation confirms Petitioner’s allegations in all respects, we shall grant the City’s petition. 1 This Certification covers a clerical and related unit, consisting of more than a hundred titles. 2 D.C. 37’s objections to two other titles need not be discussed because these titles were withdrawn from the City’s petition.
