RU-706-79 THE CITY OF NEW YORK AND RELATED PUBLIC EMPLOYEES ---------------------------------X DECISION AND ORDER The parties hereto having agreed, and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Board, that the titles of Office Machine Associate and Stenographic Specialist should be added to Certification No. 41-73 (as amended by Decisions 52-73, 68-73, 21-75,36-75, 30-76, 17-77 and 4-79),presently covering various administrative, shorthand reporting, and related titles; And it further appearing to the satisfaction of the Board that a majority of the Office Machine Associates and Stenographic Specialists have demonstrated their desire to be represented by the certificate-holder, the Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, by having authorized check-off of dues in behalf of said organization; And it further appearing to the satisfaction of the Board that certain titles in the cited Certification should be deleted therefrom because they are obsolete and vacant, but the union having requested that such deletion be delayed;
Decision No. 15-79 2 Docket No. RU-706-79 NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby ORDERED that Certification No. 41-73 (as previously amended) be, and the same hereby is, further amended to include the titles of Office Machine Associate and Stenographic Specialist, subject to existing contracts, if any; and it is further ORDERED that, subject to existing contracts, if any, the titles of Supervising Photostat Operator, Senior Short-hand Reporter, Supervising Shorthand Reporter, Stenographer Reporting), Grade 5 (Rule X), Personnel Assistant, and Personnel Associate be deleted from Certification No. 41-73 (as previously amended), effective January 1, 1980, unless objections thereto are filed with the Board in the interim.
