RU-634-78 -and-NEW YORK CITY OFF-TRACK BETTING CORPORATION -------------------------------------X D E C I S I 0 N and DIRECTION OF ELECTION On January 19, 1978, Association of Independent Managers, District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, filed a timely petition, requesting certification as the collective bargaining representative of a unit consisting of Branch Office Managers (OTB). Local 803, I.B.T., which is currently certified (Decision No. 27-74) for the same unit, intervened in timely manner. Since the petition was accompanied by an appropriate showing of interest, we shall direct an election accordingly.
Decision No. 5-78 2 Docket No. RU-634-78 DIRECTION OF ELECTION Pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby DIRECTED that an election by secret ballot shall be conducted under the supervision of the Board or its agents, at a time, place, and during hours to be fixed by the Board, among the Branch Office Managers (OTB) employed by the New York City Off Track Betting Corporation, who were employed during the payroll period immediately preceding the date of this Direction of Elect ion (other than those who have voluntarily quit or who have been discharged cause before the date of the election), to determine whether they desire to be represented for the purposes of collective bargaining by Association of Independent Managers, District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO; by Local 803, International Brotherhood of Teamsters; or by neither.
