RU-640-78 THE CITY OF NEW YORK --------------------------------X DECISION AND ORDER On February 21, 1978, District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, filed its motion herein, pursuant to Rule 2.19 of the Consolidated Rules of the Office of Collective Bargaining, to delete the obsolete title of Supervising Tabulator Operator from its Certification No. 46C-75 (as amended), covering various clerical and related titles; to delete the obsolete titles of Computer Programming Trainee, Senior Computer Programmer, Senior Principal Computer Programmer, Computer Systems Analyst Trainee, Computer Systems Analyst, Senior Computer Systems Analyst, and Senior Computer Operator from Certification No. 46D-75 (as amended), covering various accounting, statistical, and computer-related titles; to add the new title of Technical Support Aide to Certification No. 46C-75 (as amended); and to add the new titles of Computer Programmer Analyst Trainee, Computer Programmer Analyst, Computer Associate (Applications Programming), Computer Associate (Systems Programming),and Computer Aide to Certification No. 46D-75 (as amended).
Decision No. 11-78 2 Docket No. RU_640-78 The Office of Municipal Labor Relations of the City of New York states that it has no objection to this motion and, furthermore, that it would not object to the addition of the closely, related title of Computer Associate (operations) to Certification No. 46D-75. Our investigation confirms Petitioners allegations that the cited obsolete titles have been reclassified to the corresponding new titles and their duties subsumed under the respective broader titles.” our investigation further confirms that employees in several unit titles are eligible to take reclassification examinations to most of the cited new titles including the additional title mentioned by the City. Accordingly, we shall grant the motion herein and add the closely related title of Computer Associate (Operations) to Certification No. 46D-75. 0 R D E R NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby ORDERED that the title of Technical Support Aide be, and the same hereby is, substituted for the title of Supervising Tabulator Operator in Certification No. 46C-75 (as amended); and it is further
