City, 2 OCB 42 (BOC 1968) [Decision No. 42-68 (Cert.)] OFFICE OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING BOARD OF CERTIFICATION ---------------------------------------- X In the Matter of CIVIL SERVICE TECHNICAL GUILD, LOCAL 375, DISTRICT COUNCIL 37, A.F.S.C.M.E., AFL-CIO Docket No. R-89-67 -and-Decision No. 42-68 THE CITY OF NEW YORK ---------------------------------------- X DECISION AND ORDER On November 1, 1967, Civil Service Technical Guild, Local 375, District Council 37, A.F.S.C.M.E., AFL-CIO, filed a petition with the New York City Department of Labor for certification as the collective bargaining representative of the employees in the Rule XI titles of Surveyor and Deputy Surveyor employed in the Real Property Assessment Department. The proceeding was transferred to the Board of Certification pursuant to Rule 13.13 of the Consolidated Rules of the Office of Collective Bargaining. City-wide Certificate CWR No. 15-67 was issued by the New York City Department of Labor to"District Council 37, A.F.S.C.M.E., AFL-CIO, and/or its affiliated locals" on August 25, 1967. This Certificate covers "... the employees in all specialties and fields of specialization, including generic titles, in the Engineering, Architect, and Landscape Architect Occupational Groups, from the Junior to the Senior levels...". The Rule XI titles covered by the petition, herein are classified in the Engineering Occupational Group and are allocated to salary ranges between, those of junior engineer and senior engineer. They are included, therefore, in the said City-wide certificate. Accordingly, we shall dismiss the petition herein. ORDER By virtue of the power vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby O R D E R E D, that the petition herein be, and the same hereby is, dismissed.
