RU-464-74 -and-THE CITY OF NEW YORK AND RELATED PUBLIC EMPLOYERS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - X DECISION AND CERTIFICATION The petition herein, as amended, seeks certification as the exclusive collective bargaining representative of a unit consisting of the Bridgemen and Riveters and Foremen Bridgemen and Riveters employed by the City of New York. All of the petitioned employees are employed in the Transportation Administration and all of them perform structural repairs and maintenance work on the City's bridges. Thus they constitute a readily identifiable and homogeneous group with common skills and interests. The City does not dispute the appropriateness of the unit sought by Petitioner. The Union has filed with the Board duly authenticated photostatic copies of the dues payment records of employees in the petitioned titles, from which it appears to the satisfaction of the Board that a majority of the employees in said bargaining unit currently are dues-paying members of said union.

CERTIFICATION Pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby CERTIFIED that International Association of Bridge, Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers, Local Union No. 40, is the exclusive representative for the purposes of collective bargaining of all Bridgemen and Riveters and Foremen Bridgemen and Riveters, employed by the City of New York and related public employers subject to the jurisdiction of the Board of Certification.
