RU-362-73 -and-THE JUDICIAL CONFERENCE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK -and-THE CITY OF NEW YORK --------------------------------X DECISION AND ORDER On March 20, 1973, Probation and Parole Officers Association of Greater New York, Local 599, S.E.I.U., AFL-CIO, (herein called Petitioner) filed its petition herein, seeking to add the title of Community Worker to its Certification No. 32-73, presently covering various probation officer titles and Community Worker (E.E.A.) and (E.E.A.-6). Upon consideration of its investigation, and after due deliberation, the Board of Certification issues the following decision: I. UNDISPUTED MATTERS It is undisputed, and we find and conclude, that Petitioner is a public employee organization in fact and within the meaning of the New York City Collective Bargaining Law.
Decision No. 40-73 2 Docket No. RU-362-73 II. APPROPRIATE UNIT AND REPRESENTATIVE STATUS Certification No. 32-73 covers Community Worker (E.E.A.) and (E.E.A.-6), Probation Officer (E.E.A.) and (E.E.A.-6), Probation Officer Trainee, Probation Officer, Probation Officer (Incumbent), Senior Probation Officer and Supervising Probation Officer. Employees in the petitioned title perform the same duties, and receive the same salaries as Community Workers (E.E.A.) and (E.E.A.-6). Therefore, we find that the employees in the title of Community Worker together with the employees in the titles in Certification No. 32-73 constitute a unit appropriate for bargaining. A majority of employees in the appropriate unit have authorized check-off of dues in behalf of Petitioner. The employers have interposed no objection to this petition. Accordingly, we shall add the petitioned title to the requested unit. 0 R D E R Pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby
