RU-313-72 RU-324B-72 THE CITY OF NEW YORK AND RELATED PUBLIC EMPLOYERS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - X DECISION AND ORDER On February 28, 1973, the Board of Certification issued its Decision and Direction of Election (Decision No.17-73) in the above proceedings. In that decision, the Board found appropriate for the purposes of collective bargaining a unit consisting of Pest Control Aides, Crew Chiefs (Pest Control), Foremen of Clean Up (Pest Control), Assistant Rodent Control Aides (E.E.A.),(E.E.A.-6),(E.E.A.-W), Rodent Control Aides (E.E.A.),(E.E.A.-6),(E.E.A.-W), Rodent Control Crew Chiefs (E.E.A.), Pest Eliminators (E.E.A.),(E.E.A.-6),(E.E.A.-W), Exterminators, Foremen'(Exterminators) and Senior Foremen (Exterminators); and directed that a representation election be held among said employees. Since the issuance of that decision, we have been informed by the various employing agencies that additional dues check-off authorizations, signed by the employees in the unit, have been submitted. It now appears to the satisfaction of the Board that a majority of employees in

RU-313-72 RU-324B-72 2. the above unit have demonstrated their desire to be represented .by District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, by having authorized check-off of dues in behalf of said organization. Accordingly, we shall rescind our previous Direction of Election, dispense with the election, and certify the employees in the above titles to District Council 37, AFSCME. 0 R D E R NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board of Certification by the New York City Collective Bargaining Law, it is hereby ORDERED that the Direction of Election contained in Decision No.17-73 be, and the same hereby is rescinded, and it is further CERTIFIED that District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO is the exclusive representative for the purposes of collective bargaining of all Pest Control Aides, Crew Chiefs (Pest Control), Foremen of Clean Up (Pest Control), Assistant Rodent Control Aides (E.E.A.),(E.E.A.-6),(E.E.A.-W), Rodent Control Aides (E.E.A.),(E.E.A.-6),(E.E.A.-W), Rodent Control Crew Chiefs (E.E.A.), Pest Eliminators (E.E.A.),(E.E.A.-6),(E.E.A.-W), Exterminators, Foremen (Extermi,nators), Senior Foremen (Exterminators) and employees in restored Rule X titles serving
