Abstract: This is an application for the taxation of accounts at behest of the Plaintiff solicitors
Decision: The account of the solicitors was nominally reduced. The Court held that solicitors must exercise care in giving estimates of fees to clients. Additionally, any changes in a solicitor's hourly rate ought to be clearly communicated to the client. In house discussions between counsel ought not to be billed by both solicitors party to the discussions.
