An Order Appointing Members of
THE REAL ESTATE ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Background Information
Manitoba Regulation 593/88 (the Regulation) under The Real EstateBrokers Act (the Act) provides for the establishment of The Real Estate Advisory Committee (the Committee) for the purposes outlined in subsection 26(1.7) of the Act and section 10 of the Regulation.

Sections 2 and 3 of the Regulation provide for The Manitoba Real Estate Association (the MREA) to recommend to The Manitoba Securities Commission (the Commission) five individuals to serve as members of the Committee.

The terms of the individuals appointed as members of the Committee under Order No. 2423 issued by the Commission on March 31, 1999 expired on March 31, 2001.

Nomination of Members
The MREA is recommending the following individuals as members of the Committee for the period ending March 31, 2003:

(1) William George Burns of Winnipeg, an authorized official employed with Royal LePage Dynamic Real Estate;

(2) John Froese of Winnipeg, an authorized official employed with Royal LePage Prime Real Estate;

(3) Florence Marjorie Zawadsky of Brandon, Manitoba, an authorized official employed with Royal LePage Martin-Liberty Realty;

(4) Ute Vann of Winnipeg, a salesperson employed with Royal LePage Reliance Real Estate; and

(5) Robert Giesbrecht of Winnipeg, a solicitor with the firm Pitblado Buchwald Asper.

Commission Order and Direction
The Commission orders that:

1. The individuals named in (1) to (5) above are appointed to serve on the Committee for the period ending March 31, 2003;

2. If any of the individuals in (1) to (4) ceases to be registered under the Act, the appointment of that individual shall terminate immediately;

3. If Robert Giesbrecht ceases to be a resident of Manitoba, his appointment shall terminate immediately.
