WHEREAS:

 

(A)         On November 23, 2010, the Alberta Securities Commission (“ASC”) issued a Decision against Daniel Neil McLeod (“McLEOD”);

 

(B)         On April 15, 2011, The Manitoba Securities Commission (“Commission”) issued a Notice of Hearing (“Notice”) giving notice of its intention to hold a hearing to consider whether or not it was in the public interest to grant orders pursuant to section 148.4 of The Securities Act, R.S.M. 1988, c. S50 as amended (“Act”) with respect to McLEOD;

 

(C)         This hearing matter came before a panel of the Commission on June 1, 2011;

 

(D)         Upon reviewing the documentary evidence, upon hearing the submissions of counsel for staff of the Commission, no one appearing for the respondent, and upon hearing the request of staff for an order of substitutional service pursuant to section 144(1)(c), the Commission is of the opinion that it is in the public interest to make this order.

 

 

IT IS ORDERED:

 

1.                            THAT pursuant to section 144(1)(c) of the Act, notice of the time, place and purpose of this hearing matter including the next appearance date as shown below and any and all future steps in this hearing matter, including any future orders which may be granted by the Commission, shall be made upon the respondent McLEOD by e-mail to:  dmcleodinternational@yahoo.com .  

 

2.                            THAT this matter be adjourned to July 6, 2011 at 9:00 a.m.
