DATEK ONLINE BROKERAGE SERVICES
WHEREAS:
(A) Following approval of a Settlement Agreement between staff of The Manitoba Securities Commission and Datek Online Brokerage Services, the Commission issued Order No. 3386 dated June 20, 2001.
(B) Paragraph 2 of the Order provided that Datek Online Brokerage Services be exempt from the registration requirements as set out in section 6 of the Act, in respect of existing clients only, until September 30, 2001, upon condition that Datek Online Brokerage Services or an affiliate of Datek Online Brokerage Services, becomes registered as required by the Act.
(C) Datek Online Brokerage Services has made representations to the Commission requesting additional time to complete registration under the Act.
(D) The Commission is of the opinion that it is in the public interest to make this Order:
IT IS ORDERED:
1. THAT, pursuant to section 20(1) of the Act, clause 2 or Order No. 3386 be amended by deleting the reference to "September 30, 2001" and substituting "March 31, 2002".
