And in the Matter of SHELDON BROUNSTEIN o/a SPRINGFIELD REALTY AND INVESTMENT
On April 7, 2005, Judge Kopstein of the Provincial Court of Manitoba accepted the guilty plea of Sheldon Brounstein o/a Springfield Realty and Investment to a violation of section 14 of the Manitoba Regulation 57/88 (the "Regulation"), a regulation under The Real Estate Brokers Act ("REBA").
Sheldon Brounstein o/a Springfield Realty and Investment failed to comply with the Regulation, and did thereby commit an offence under subsection 42(3) of REBA by failing to file an Annual Trust Account Report within 4 months of its financial year end ending July 31, 2004. On December 16, 1999 and December 4, 2003, Sheldon Brounstein o/a Springfield Realty Ltd. had previously been reprimanded for the late filing of the 1999 and 2003 reports.
The Court imposed a fine in this instance of $100.00. Costs and applicable surcharges were waived by Judge Kopstein and the fine was ordered to be paid within 2 weeks.
