EXTENSION OF INTERIM ORDER SUSPENDING LICENCE

On February 20, 2024, by delegated authority from the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (the “Chief Executive Officer”), the Director, Litigation and Enforcement (the “Director”) issued a Notice of Proposal (“Notice”) to revoke the insurance agent licences issued to Daumier Financial Services Inc. o/a Daumier Financial Services Ltd., Carmen Munoz Gutierrez, Ana Huang Yu, Andres Antonio Hernandez Silva, Maylin Rodriguez Perez, and Michael Lue (the “Daumier Agents”).

On February 20, 2024, the Director, by delegated authority from the Chief Executive Officer, issued an interim order immediately suspending the licences issued to the Daumier Agents.

On March 6, 2024, Ana Huang Yu and Maylin Rodriguez Perez requested hearings by the Financial Services Tribunal with respect to the Notice.

On March 8, 2024, Carmen Munoz Gutierrez and Andres Antonio Hernandez Silva requested hearings by the Financial Services Tribunal with respect to the Notice.

On March 18, 2024, Daumier Financial Services Inc. o/a Daumier Financial Services Ltd. and Michael Lue requested hearings by the Financial Services Tribunal with respect to the Notice.

ORDER

IT IS ORDERED THAT pursuant to subsection 392.5(9) of the Act, the interim suspension order dated February 20, 2024, against Daumier Financial Services Inc. o/a Daumier Financial Services Ltd., is extended until the Notice is finally determined.

IT IS ORDERED THAT pursuant to subsection 392.5(9) of the Act, the interim suspension order dated February 20, 2024, against Carmen Munoz Gutierrez, is extended until the Notice is finally determined.

IT IS ORDERED THAT pursuant to subsection 392.5(9) of the Act, the interim suspension order dated February 20, 2024, against Ana Huang Yu, is extended until the Notice is finally determined.

IT IS ORDERED THAT pursuant to subsection 392.5(9) of the Act, the interim suspension order dated February 20, 2024, against Andres Antonio Hernandez Silva, is extended until the Notice is finally determined.

IT IS ORDERED THAT pursuant to subsection 392.5(9) of the Act, the interim suspension order dated February 20, 2024, against Maylin Rodriguez Perez, is extended until the Notice is finally determined.

IT IS ORDERED THAT pursuant to subsection 392.5(9) of the Act, the interim suspension order dated February 20, 2024, against Michael Lue, is extended until the Notice is finally determined.

AND TAKE NOTICE THAT pursuant to subsections 447(2)(b) and subsection 447(3) of the Act, every person who fails to comply with an order made under the Act is guilty of an offence and every individual convicted of an offence under the Act is liable to a fine of not more than $250,000.00 on a first conviction and a fine of not more than $500,000 for each subsequent conviction.
