IN THE MATTER OF the Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. I.8, as amended (the “Act”), in particular sections 392.5, and 407.1;

AND IN THE MATTER OF Liset Jimenez Rodriguez (“Rodriguez”).

ORDER TO REVOKE LICENCE

Rodriguez has been licensed as a life insurance and accident and sickness insurance agent since December 10, 2015, pursuant to the Act (licence #15148581). Her current licence is set to expire on December 9, 2023.

On April 6, 2020, by delegated authority from the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario, the Executive Vice President, Market Conduct, issued a Notice of Proposal to revoke Rodriguez’s life insurance licence.

On August 11, 2021, by delegated authority from the Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Litigation and Enforcement (“Director”), issued an amended Notice of Proposal to revoke Rodriguez’s life insurance licence.

A Request for Hearing (Form 1), dated April 30, 2020, was delivered to the Financial Services Tribunal (“Tribunal”) with respect to the Notice of Proposal. The proceeding continued after the amended Notice of Proposal was issued.

On August 11, 2023, Rodriguez withdrew the Request for Hearing and, on August 14, 2023, the Tribunal closed its file in respect of this matter. Therefore, pursuant to section 407.1(7) of the Act, the Director makes the following order.

ORDER

The insurance agent licence of Liset Jimenez Rodriguez (licence #15148581) is hereby revoked, for the reasons set out in the amended Notice of Proposal.
