ASSESSMENT OF COSTS - REASONS

MICHELLE LAMY, ASSESSMENT OFFICER

[1]         This is an assessment in writing of the respondent's costs pursuant to the judgment rendered on January 8, 2001 dismissing this appeal with costs.

[2]         The appellant had until August 17, 2001 to file and serve her written observations in opposition to the respondent's bill of costs. As no observations were produced as of that day, the following items in Tariff B are allowed as requested: items 19 (4 units), 22 (2 units x 1 hour), 25 (1 unit) and 26 (2 units). Some disbursements are also allowed in the amount of $129.25.

[3]         The costs of the respondent are therefore assessed and allowed in the amount of $1,119.25 and a certificate shall issue for that sum.
