Docket: T-1049-99

BETWEEN:

     KAREN SHUI YAN FONG

     Appellant

     - and -

     THE MINISTER OF CITIZENSHIP

     AND IMMIGRATION

     Respondent

     REASONS FOR ORDER AND ORDER

REED, J.

[1]      I have reviewed the material on the file carefully, and of course have heard the submissions of both counsel. I have concluded that grounds do not exist that would allow me to set aside the citizenship judge"s decision. That decision is in accord with the recent jurisprudence of this Court, and the statutory requirements of the Citizenship Act .

[2]      I am convinced that Ms. Fong would make an excellent Canadian citizen and feel sure that on a re-application, once she has fulfilled the residency requirements, she will obtain that status. For the reasons given, IT IS ORDERED THAT:

[3]      This appeal is dismissed.
