ORDER REGARDING INTERVENTION

[1] UPON HEARING counsel for the parties on Monday, March 5, 2001, regarding the need for an expeditious disposition of the Commissioner’s application brought pursuant to section 79 of the Competition Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-34;

[2] AND FURTHER TO the consent of the parties; [3] THE TRIBUNAL ORDERS THAT: (a) The time limit for filing any request for leave to intervene stated at subsection 27(4) of the Competition Tribunal Rules is hereby waived. Any request for leave to intervene in this matter shall be filed by 5:00 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday, April 5, 2001.

(b) A party served with a request for leave to intervene may serve and file a response to the request on the person making the request and on each of the parties by noon (EDT) on Tuesday, April 10, 2001.

(c) A pre-hearing conference shall be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at 3:00 p.m. (EDT) in Toronto, Ontario, to deal with any request for leave to intervene and procedural matters.
