Subject: Application for reconsideration filed by SARTeC
Dear Sir:
A panel of the Canadian Artists and Producers Professional Relations Tribunal, chaired by Robert Bouchard, met on July 28, 2000, to review the application for reconsideration filed by SARTeC.
The Tribunal asked me to inform you that the certification order for SARDeC will be amended to reflect the organization's new name. As for the clarification requested, the Tribunal changed the wording to maintain a logic and style consistent with the other descriptions of sectors.
From now on, the certification order for SARTeC will read as follows:
Un secteur qui comprend dans l’ensemble du Canada :
a) les auteurs d’œuvres littéraires ou dramatiques originales en langue française, y compris le travail de recherche afférent, destinées à la radiodiffusion, à la télédiffusion, au cinéma et à l’audiovisuel;
b) les auteurs qui adaptent sous forme de scénario en langue française pour la radio, la télévision, le cinéma ou l’audiovisuel des œuvres littéraires ou dramatiques, y compris le travail de recherche afférent, originellement destinées à un autre mode de diffusion dans le public;
mais qui ne vise pas les réalisateurs dans leur fonction de réalisateur. |
Throughout Canada, a sector composed of:
(a) authors of original French language literary or dramatic works, and including the associated research, intended for radio, television, cinema or audio‑visual media;
(b) authors who adapt, in the form of French language scripts for radio, television, cinema or audio‑visual media, literary or dramatic works, and including the associated research, originally intended for another form f public broadcast;
but which does not include directors in their capacity as directors |
Feel free to contact me if you have questions about this decision.
Sincerely,
Josée Dubois
Executive Director and General Counsel
