WHEREAS the Canada Industrial Relations Board (the Board), by order no. 10760‑U dated February 26, 2015, certified Unifor as the bargaining agent for a unit of employees of Horizon Air Industries, Inc., comprising:

all employees of Horizon Air Industries, Inc. employed at Victoria and Vancouver, B.C., excluding supervisors and those above.

AND WHEREAS the Board has received an application from the applicant, pursuant to section 18 of the Canada Labour Code, seeking to amend the said order by adding customer service agents and lead customer service agents working in Kelowna, British Columbia;

AND WHEREAS the employer does not oppose this application;

AND WHEREAS, following investigation of the application and consideration of the submissions of the parties concerned, the Board has determined that it is appropriate to grant the application;

AND WHEREAS the Board has determined that the bargaining unit described hereunder is appropriate for collective bargaining;

AND WHEREAS the Board is satisfied that the applicant has met the double majority requirement as it has majority support within the group of employees to be added to the existing bargaining unit, it has majority support within the existing bargaining unit and it therefore has majority support within the overall proposed expanded bargaining unit.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Canada Industrial Relations Board hereby declares that Unifor is the bargaining agent for a bargaining unit comprising:

all employees of Horizon Air Industries, Inc. employed at Victoria, Vancouver, and Kelowna B.C., excluding supervisors and those above.
