IN THE MATTER OF THE

St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador,

Public Service Alliance of Canada,

certified bargaining agent.

WHEREAS the Canada Industrial Relations Board (the Board), by order no. 10520-U dated January 17, 2014, certified the Public Service Alliance of Canada as the bargaining agent for a unit of employees of the St. John’s International Airport Authority comprising:

all employees of the St. John’s International Airport Authority, excluding the President and Chief Executive Officer, Director–Operations, Chief Financial Officer, Director–Emergency Response and Security, Director–Marketing and Community Relations, Director–Information and Communications Technology, Director–Infrastructure and Planning, Manager–Human Resources, Manager–Safety and Environment, Manager–Infrastructure, Manager–Operations, and the Executive Assistant.

AND WHEREAS the Board has received an application from the applicant, pursuant to section 18 of the Canada Labour Code (Part I–Industrial Relations), seeking to amend the said order by updating the bargaining unit description to reflect changes to the organizational structure and position titles;

AND WHEREAS the certified bargaining agent is not opposed to this application;

AND WHEREAS, following investigation of the application and consideration of the submissions of the parties concerned, the Board has determined that it is appropriate to grant the application.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Canada Industrial Relations Board hereby declares that the Public Service Alliance of Canada is the bargaining agent for a bargaining unit comprising:

all employees of the St. John’s International Airport Authority, excluding the Chief Executive Officer, Director–Operations, Chief Financial Officer, Director–Marketing and Business Development, Director–Information and Communications Technology, Director–Infrastructure and Planning, Director–Human Resources, Manager–Human Resources, Manager–Safety and Environment, Manager–Infrastructure, Manager–Airside Services, Manager–Emergency Response and Planning, Manager–Security and Operational Response, the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Assistant to the Director–Operations.
