IN THE MATTER OF THE

PAL Airlines Ltd.,

St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador,

applicant,

- and -

Air Line Pilots Association, International,

certified bargaining agent.

WHEREAS the Canada Industrial Relations Board (the Board), by order no. 11408-U dated June 13, 2019, certified the Air Line Pilots Association, International as the bargaining agent for a unit of employees of PAL Airlines Ltd. comprising:

all pilots employed by PAL Airlines Ltd., excluding managers, assistant chief pilots, chief pilots, directors, vice presidents, training captains, training captains/check pilots DASH, supervisors and those above the rank of supervisor.

AND WHEREAS the Board has received an application from the applicant, pursuant to section 18 of the Canada Labour Code (Part I–Industrial Relations), seeking to amend the said order by including the training captains and the training captains/check pilots DASH in the bargaining unit;

AND WHEREAS the certified bargaining agent is not opposed to this application;

AND WHEREAS, following investigation of the application and consideration of the submissions of the parties concerned, the Board has determined that it is appropriate to grant the application.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Board hereby declares that the Air Line Pilots Association, International is the bargaining agent for a bargaining unit comprising:

all pilots employed by PAL Airlines Ltd., excluding managers, assistant chief pilots, chief pilots, directors, vice presidents, supervisors and those above the rank of supervisor.
