IN THE MATTER OF THE

Public Service Alliance of Canada,

applicants.

WHEREAS the Canada Labour Relations Board, by order no. 6395-U dated January 17, 1994, certified the Public Service Alliance of Canada as the bargaining agent for a unit of employees of Edmonton Regional Airport Authority comprising:

all employees of the Edmonton Regional Airport Authority, excluding the following positions:

  • - firefighters

  • - fire lieutenants

  • - fire captains

  • - president & C.E.O.

  • - vice-president finance & administration

  • - vice-president operations

  • - vice-president corporate development

  • - manager human resources

  • - executive assistants

  • - airport general manager

  • - manager terminal

  • - manager groundside/industrial

  • - manager support services

  • - manager safety & security

  • - manager airside

  • - manager planning & marketing

  • - manager airport development

  • - executive secretaries

  • - controller

  • - superintendent informatics

  • - human resources assistants

  • - superintendent utilities plant

  • - superintendent property management

  • - superintendent purchasing

  • - superintendent CRG (TDC)

  • - superintendent security

  • - superintendent safety and

  • - emergency planning

  • - summer/co-op students

AND WHEREAS the Canada Industrial Relations Board (the Board) has received a joint application from the applicants, pursuant to section 18 of the Canada Labour Code (Part I–Industrial Relations) (the Code), seeking to amend the said order by updating the bargaining unit description to reflect changes in the titles of positions and to acknowledge the creation of new positions;

AND WHEREAS, following investigation of the application and consideration of the submissions of the parties concerned, the Board has determined that it is appropriate to grant the application;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Canada Industrial Relations Board hereby declares that the Public Service Alliance of Canada is the bargaining agent for a bargaining unit comprising:

all employees of the Edmonton Regional Airport Authority, excluding Fire Fighters, Fire Lieutenants, Fire Captains, Human Resources Coordinators, Human Resources Business Partners, Paralegals, Legal Counsel, Senior Communications Advisors, Safety Superintendents, Executive Assistants, students, and those employed as managers and above.
