IN THE MATTER OF THE

Construction Workers’ Union (CLAC) Local 63,

  affiliated with the Christian Labour Association of Canada,

certified bargaining agent.

WHEREAS the Canada Industrial Relations Board (the Board), by order no. 9097‑U dated May 11, 2006, certified the Construction Workers’ Union (CLAC) Local 63, affiliated with the Christian Labour Association of Canada as the bargaining agent for a unit of employees of Monad Industrial Constructors Inc.;

AND WHEREAS, on January 23, 2015, the Construction Workers’ Union (CLAC) Local 63, affiliated with the Christian Labour Association of Canada changed its name to Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 63;

AND WHEREAS, on May 30, 2013, Monad Industrial Constructors Inc. changed its name to PCL Energy Inc.;

AND WHEREAS the Board has received an application from the applicant, pursuant to section 18 of the Canada Labour Code (Part I–Industrial Relations), seeking to amend the said order by changing the name of the employer to PCL Energy Inc.;

AND WHEREAS the certified bargaining agent is not opposed to this application;

AND WHEREAS, following investigation of the application and consideration of the submissions of the parties concerned, the Board has determined that it is appropriate to grant the application;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Canada Industrial Relations Board hereby declares that the Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 63 is the bargaining agent for a bargaining unit comprising:

all construction carpenters in the Northwest Territories.
