On February 11, 2015, Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. (Enbridge) applied to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) under the Municipal Franchises Act for an order granting Enbridge the right to construct or operate works for the distribution of gas, and the right to extend or add to the works, in the Township of Southgate, for a period of 20 years, and for an order declaring and directing that the assent of the municipal electors is not necessary.
