Manitoba Public Utilities Board

By this Order, the Public Utilities Board (Board) approves, on an interim ex parte basis,
Centra Gas Manitoba Inc.’s (Centra) Application for new franchise agreements with the
Hamiota Municipality and the Prairie View Municipality. The new agreement with the
Hamiota Municipality replaces the existing franchise and crossing agreements with the
Rural Municipality of Hamiota and the Town of Hamiota and extends Centra’s franchise
area over the remainder of the Municipality not already covered by previous franchise
agreements. The new agreement with the Prairie View Municipality replaces the existing
franchise agreement with the Rural Municipality of Miniota. The new franchise
agreements allow Centra to serve a new commercial customer located in Prairie View
Municipality. The Board also approves the financial feasibility test for the extension of
service to the new customer.
