Summary:

On September 22, 2016, ATCO Pipelines, a division of ATCO Gas and Pipelines Ltd., filed an application with the Alberta Utilities Commission requesting approval of its 2017-2018 general rate application (GRA). ATCO Pipelines is requesting approval from the Commission for its forecast revenue requirement of $273,331,000 for 2017 and $295,093,000 for 2018.1 The revenue requirement approved by the Commission will be collected from NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL), as per the terms of integration between the two systems. ATCO Pipelines is also seeking the Commission’s approval of ATCO Pipelines’:
- forecast opening balances for plant, property and equipment, as at January 1, 2017
- continued use of deferrals and placeholders
- proposed depreciation rate changes
- proposed settlement of certain regulatory deferral accounts
