In this decision, the Alberta Utilities Commission must decide whether to approve an
application by ATCO Gas and Pipelines Ltd. (South) to construct an 18.3-kilometre long,
508-millimetre outside diameter pipeline to meet the future demand of the greater Edmonton
area. For the reasons outlined in this decision, the Commission approves the application having
regard to the social and economic effects of the project and its effects on the environment.
