Summary:

In this decision, the Alberta Utilities Commission must decide whether it is in the public
interest to approve two new high-pressure pipelines. ATCO Gas and Pipelines Ltd. (South) (ATCO) applied on March 16, 2015, under the Pipeline Act, to construct and operate two new high-pressure natural gas transmission pipelines as part of the Urban Pipeline Replacement (UPR) Project. These projects, called the East Calgary Connector and the Southeast Calgary Connector, are both located in east Calgary, within or near the transportation and utility corridor (TUC) along Stoney Trail and in Rocky View County, as shown on the following map.
