FILE 2018-UO/TI-12 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNER Non-exclusive licence issued to Andrew Irvine, Kelowna, British Columbia, authorizing the reproduction, the publication, the distribution on paper by selling or other transfer of ownership, and the communication to the public by telecommunication of a photograph Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to Andrew Irvine as follows: (1) The licence authorizes the reproduction, the publication, the distribution on paper by selling or other transfer of ownership, and the communication to the public by telecommunication of a photograph of Hubert Aquin published in La Presse in 2013 (photographer and right holder unknown), in the books Canada’s Governor General’s Literary Awards: A Bibliography and Les Prix littéraires du Gouverneur général du Canada. Une bibliographie. published by the University of Ottawa Press/Les Presses de l’Université d’Ottawa. (2) The licence authorizes the printing of no more than 350 copies of each book, with online open-access. (3) The issuance of the licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence. (4) The licence is valid from May 1, 2018 to April 30, 2023. (5) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies. (6) The licensee will pay to the Société québécoise de gestion collective des droits de reproduction (COPIBEC), the sum of Fifty dollars ($50). COPIBEC may dispose of the amount as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. COPIBEC undertakes to reimburse any person, who establishes, before April 30, 2028, ownership of the copyright in the work covered in this licence. (7) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on COPIBEC filing with the Board a Notice of Receipt of Payment and Undertaking which confirms that the royalties, as specified in paragraph

(6) have been received and that COPIBEC undertakes to comply with the conditions set out in same.
