Copyright Board Commission du droit d’auteur Canada Canada [TRANSLATION] Ottawa, October 28, 2019 FILE 2019-UO/TI-02 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNER Non-exclusive licence issued to Éditions du Quartz, Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec authorizing the reproduction, republication and distribution on paper of the text of two books

Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board of Canada grants a licence to Éditions du Quartz, as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes: the reproduction, publication of a second print run and distribution on paper of the text of the literary work of Marguerite Forest and Madeleine Ouimet entitled Mon deuxième livre de lecture published by Éditions Granger and Frères in 1943; and

the reproduction, republication and distribution on paper of the text of the literary work of Marguerite Forest and Madeleine Ouimet entitled Mon troisième livre de lecture published by Librairie Granger Frères Limitée in 1944.

The issuance of the licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other uses not covered by this licence.

(2) The number of copies of each work shall not exceed 1,000 copies. (3) The licence comes into force on April 1, 2019, and expires on March 31, 2024. (4) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For any other country, it is the law of that country that applies.

(5) The licensee shall clearly indicate the bibliographic reference for the work used in accordance with standard conventions: title of the work, author, publisher, place and date of publication.

(6) For each work, the licensee shall pay the initial sum of $199.50 for the first 100 printed copies and 10% of the retail sale price of each copy to the Société québécoise de gestion

- 2 - collective des droits de reproduction (COPIBEC). These payments to COPIBEC shall be accompanied by an annual sales report of sales made in the previous 12 months, to be provided between April 1 and April 30 of each year. COPIBEC may dispose of the amount of the royalties fixed by the licence as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. COPIBEC undertakes, however, to reimburse any person who, by March 31, 2029, establishes ownership of the copyright in any of the works covered by this licence.

(7) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on COPIBEC filing with the Board a Notice of Receipt of Payment and Undertaking of the initial amount of $399 ($199.50 per work) and its undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (6).
