Copyright Board Commission du droit d’auteur Canada Canada Ottawa, July 21, 2015 FILE: 2015-UO/TI-06 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNER Non-exclusive licence issued to TO Rooftop Films Inc., authorizing the incorporation, reproduction, public performance and communication to the public by telecommunication of two articles

Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to TO Rooftop Films Inc. as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes the incorporation of the following articles from two editions of Weekend Magazine in a documentary film, entitled "Stay Awhile":

How the CRTC rang the Bells (Vol. 22, No. 9, 1972) Five Bells and all's well (No. 7, 1967) The licence also authorizes the reproduction for film distribution and sale (via theatrical exhibition, DVD, video-on-demand, Internet streaming and downloads), the public performance and the communication to the public by telecommunication of the articles.

(2) The licence is valid from November 2014 until the work is no longer protected by copyright.

(3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of the country that applies.

(4) The issuance of the licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence.

(5) The licensee shall ensure that the following credit is prominently presented "[title of the article] by Philip Smith. Used with permission under a non-exclusive licence issued by the Copyright Board of Canada in co-operation with Access Copyright."

- 2 - (6) The licensee will pay the sum of $100 ($50 per article) to Access Copyright, the Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency, who may dispose of the said amount as it sees f it for the general benefit of its members. Access Copyright undertakes, however, to reimburse the amount to any person who establishes, within 5 years of the expiry of the licence, ownership of copyright of the work covered by this licence.

(7) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on Access Copyright filing with the Board a Notice of Receipt and Undertaking which confirms that the royalties, as specified in paragraph (6) have been received and that Access Copyright undertakes to comply with the conditions set out in same.
