Copyright Board Commission du droit d’auteur Canada Canada Ottawa, May 12, 2014 FILE: 2013-UO/TI-14 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNER Non-exclusive licence issued to the National Film Board of Canada, Vancouver, British Columbia, authorizing the synchronization and the communication to the public by telecommunication of a musical work

Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to the National Film Board of Canada as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes the synchronization and the communication to the public by telecommunication of a musical work entitled L'Interplanétaire by Les Talismans beginning on April 1, 2013.

The issuance of the licence does not release the applicant from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence.

(2) The licence expires when the work is no longer protected by copyright. (3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of th at country that applies.

(4) The applicant will pay the sum of $750.00 to the Society for Reproduction Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers in Canada (SODRAC). SODRAC will dispose of the amount as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. SODRAC undertakes to reimburse any person who establishes, within 5 years of the expiry of the licence, ownership of the copyright in the works covered in this licence.

(5) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on the filing with the Board of the Notice of Receipt of Payment and Undertaking from SODRAC for the amount of the royalties specified in the licence, accompanied by SODRAC's undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (4) above.
