Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board issues a licence to Beauchemin Éditeur, as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes the reproduction of nine illustrations produced by Jacques Cura and published in the novel Le blé en herbe by Collette, published in 1953 by Éditions Ferenczi. The illustrations will be reproduced in the work Colette from the collection Parcours d'une œuvrepublished by Beauchemin Éditeur.

No more than 10 000 copies will be reproduced. The issuance of this licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence.

(2) The licence expires on October 31, 2008. Any authorized reproduction must be completed by that date.

(3) The licensee must clearly provide, for each of the works reproduced, the standard bibliographical reference, namely, the work’s title, author, editor, and place and date of publication. The licensee must also state that the work is used under a licence issued by the Copyright Board of Canada in collaboration with Société québécoise de gestion collective des droits de reproduction (COPIBEC).

(4) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies.

(5) Beauchemin Éditeur will pay the sum of $50 for each of the works (or a total amount of $450) to COPIBEC, which may dispose of this amount as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. COPIBEC undertakes, however, to reimburse any person who establishes,

- 2 - before October 31, 2013, ownership of the copyright in any of the works covered by this licence.

(6) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on COPIBEC filing with the Board a receipt for the amount of the licence, accompanied by an undertaking by COPIBEC to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (5) above.
