UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNER

Commission du droit d’auteur Canada

Non-exclusive licence issued to Pearson Education Canada, Don Mills, Ontario, authorizing the reproduction of an article (author unknown)

Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to Pearson Education Canada as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes the reproduction of the article entitled Getting Off Welfare published in the magazine SOUND, Kamloops, B.C. (year of publication and author unknown) in the university textbook titled Core Concepts in Sociology to be co written by Linda Lindsey, Stephen Beach and Bruce Ravelli.

No more than 10,800 copies shall be reproduced.

The issuance of the licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence.

(2) The licence is for a period of five years and expires on December 31, 2010. The authorized use and reproduction must therefore be completed by that date.

(3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies.

(4) Pearson Education Canada will pay the sum of $150 to Access Copyright, The Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency, who will dispose of the amount as it sees f it for the general benefit of its members. It undertakes, however, to reimburse any person who establishes, before December 31, 2015 ownership of the copyright in the work covered by this licence.

(5) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on the filing with the Board of a receipt from Access Copyright for the amount of the royalty specified in the licence, accompanied by Access Copyright's undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (4) above.
