Through no fault of the appella n t, she became automatically ineligible for assistance for the month o f J u ne 2014 due to a lump sum payment rece i v ed fro m CPP in April 2014, due to a cumulative error by CPP whi c h occurred ove r the cou r se of several years. The amount the appellant received was in excess of her monthly assistance top up, resulting in her ineligibility for disability or hardship assistance for the month of June. If the appellant had corr ectly rec e ived t he a dditional $6.43 e ach m o nth, she would have continued to be eligible for disability or hardship assistance and remained eligible to app l y for a crisis supplement. Conclusion EM T003(10/06/01)
I APPEAL II In conclusion, the panel finds that the ministry's decision to deny the appellant a crisis supplement for outstanding shelter for June, due to her ineligibility to receive disability or hardship assistance during June 2014 as legislated under Section 57(1) of the EAPWDR, was a reasonable application of the legislation in the circumstances of the appellant. The panel thus confirms the ministry's decision. EAAT 003(10/06/01)
