Notices of Appeal were received on September 22, 2023 from Robert Cramer, Tony Cramer, Lori Cramer, and Keith Cramer (Appellants). These appeals were with respect to the August 23, 2023 decision of the Director, Alberta Environment and Protected Areas (Director), to issue Approval No. 236328-01-00 under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act to Waste Management of Canada Corporation (WMCC) for the construction, operation and reclamation of the Thorhild Class II Landfill.
The Board scheduled a mediation meeting for the Appellants, WMCC and Director for February 21, 2024. On February 20, 2024, the Appellants advised they resolved their appeals directly with WMCC and were withdrawing their appeals. The Board cancelled the mediation meeting and based upon the withdrawal of the appeals, the Board discontinued its proceedings and closed its file on February 20, 2024.
