A Notice of Appeal was received on September 8, 2022 from Pure Elements Environmental Solutions Inc. and Carnmoney Golf and Country Club Inc. with respect to the August 9, 2022 decision of the Director, Alberta Environment and Parks, to issue Notice of Administrative Penalty No. AP-EPAP-37859 in the amount of $3,500.00 under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, to Pure Elements Environmental Solutions Inc. and Carnmoney Golf and Country Club Inc. The Administrative Penalty states the Appellants contravened section 5.1.1(b) of Approval No. 196381-01-01 by failing to monitor the waterworks in accordance with schedule 3, and section 6.1.1 of the Approval by failing to immediately report the contravention of the Approval to the Director.
In consultation with the parties, a mediation meeting was held on October 24, 2022, by videoconference. As a result of the resolution reached at mediation, the appeals of Pure Elements Environmental Solutions Ltd. and Carnmoney Golf and Country Club were withdrawn.
The Board discontinued its proceedings and closed its file on October 27, 2022.
